1987-1993 Fox Body Mustang Upper Hatch Trim Panel Install

Renew the interior hatch area of your 1987-1993 Fox Body Mustang with 5.0 Resto's upper hatch trim panel. This trim panel is designed and manufactured with a factory fit and finish in mind. With the help of computer-aided design (CAD), this panel features factory dimensions and tolerances for an effortless installation. Constructed from durable plastic, all mounting screw standoffs and clip retainers are molded in the correct locations. You'll even notice the small cutouts for the defrost wiring. Attention to detail goes a long way! Factory-style grain and texture are applied to closely match the rest of your interior. This trim panel is available in black or a neutral gray. The neutral gray is close to opal gray, but there is a small difference. We recommend prepping and painting the gray panel to match your interior color. Installation hardware is included.

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove Old Trim Panel

• Start by removing the old trim panel if your car still has it. Remove the Philips head screws and then dislodge the push pins with a removal tool to fully remove the panel.

Step 2: Install New 5.0 Resto Trim Panel

• Once the old panel is removed, take the time to clean up the area before installing the new panel.
• To install the new panel, simply situate the push pins and fully engage them to their corresponding spot on the hatch. Watch for any wiring to ensure it is also in the correct locations of the panel.
• Then install the (2) longer inner screws located near the latch.
• Then install the (2) outer shorter screws located towards the outer portion of the hatch panel.
• After this, you are good to go!
