Having power mirrors in your 87-93 Mustang is a great option to have and we all to often take it for granted until it stops functioning. If your power mirrors have stopped working, the most common reason is the power mirror switch. Often these switches fall victim to contamination intrusion - sodas, water, armorall and other cleaning products. Don't let a broken or failed mirror switch take away from the joy of driving your Stang!
Replacing the bad switch with a new 5.0Resto switch is an easy process. It requires you to remove your center console. See the how-to video on removing your center console here - http://youtu.be/n_3zm_-vZHs . Once the console is removed, you simple pop out the old one and install the new one. Then, pop off your console top panel, unplug the power mirror switch, use a flat blade screwdriver to pop the old switch out, pop the new switch into place, and reverse the rest of the removal procedure. Typically the switch fails due to dust, dirt, grime, water, coke, Armor All intrusion. Eventually, the switch just stops making contact.
