What's up everybody? Landan here with LMR.com! Today I'm going to be taking a look at an essential first mod for your 2018 Mustang GT, and that is SVE’s resonator delete x-pipe.

This resonator delete x-pipe will feature an aluminized construction, a simple cut & clamp design, and an OEM fit and finish. By deleting the restrictive factory resonator, you’ll be able to give your Mustang and aggressive exhaust sound and save a little weight in the process.

NO tune is required to run this delete and as an added bonus, it does knock 15 pounds off your S550! A little fun fact; The factory resonator weighs in at 23 pounds where-as the SVE resonator delete x-pipe tips the scale at only 8!

This is a great and cost-effective way to open up your exhaust all while still keeping the factory mufflers in place. So later on down the road, this will allow you to run an axle back exhaust kit of your choice.

When installing this resonator delete x-pipe, I would recommend the assistance from one of your friends.

Begin by supporting the car via a lift or jack stands.

Measure thirty and one-quarter of an inch from the center of the factory exhaust sleeve to the piping just past the resonator.
Mark each side with a marker and then loosen the two front exhaust sleeves.

Go ahead and cut the piping and then remove the resonator from the car.

Slide the SVE resonator delete into the exhaust sleeves; orientation does not matter.

Position one of the provided clamps over the rearward piping.

To ease the installation of the rearward piping into the resonator delete, loosen the hanger from the IRS subframe and rear frame rail.

Slide the piping into the resonator and then reinstall the hanger hardware.

Repeat these steps for the other side.

Align the tips within the valance and then tighten down the two clamps and two factory sleeves.

Start the car and check for exhaust leaks.

Once everything is good to go, you’re all finished.

Alright guys, our 2018 Mustang GT does have the performance pack option, but does not have the active exhaust feature. With that being said, these sound clips may differ slightly from a car with the active exhaust feature or a car that did not come equipped with the performance pack.
