2021 Ford Mustang Specs, Horsepower, & Features

Ford has announced that the Mustang Mach 1 will be revived in 2021. The 480-hp version of Ford's 5.0-liter V-8 engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission in the limited-edition model. The heritage-inspired design of the current Mach 1 involves a distinct front end and black stripes on the hood and bodysides. Aerodynamic elements, cooling enhancements, and other performance hardware are also carried over from the Shelby GT350 and GT500. The Mach 1's Handling kit is for those who want even wider 19-inch wheels with an exclusive design and aerodynamic parts that boost downforce even more, but it's only available with the manual gearbox.

The Ford Co-Pilot 360 suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is also standard on the 2021 Mustang. Forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and automatic high-beam headlights are all part of the package. A revamped Secure and Smart Kit with a navigation system now includes adaptive cruise control as an option.

For 2021, the Mustang EcoBoost Premium gets regular ActiveX leatherette seat upholstery, as well as new paint colors such as Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, Fighter Jet Gray, and Grabber Yellow throughout the lineup. Unfortunately with the edition of these new colors usually results in a discontinuation of colors from the previous year which are Magnetic, Grabber Lime, and Kona Blue.
