Fox Body Mustang Chin Spoiler Installation

Adding some serious styling to the exterior of your Mustang can easily be accomplished with the help of an SVE Chin Spoiler. This 99-04 style Mach 1 chin spoiler will easily install on your 87-93 Mustang LX front bumper with minor modifications. Installation can be done in your driveway with simple hand tools. Tools:

• Jack
• Jack stands
• Tape measurer
• Dry erase marker
• Drill and Drillbit set
• Small hand saw or body saw

Fox Body LX Chin Spoiler Installation:

1. Measure to the center of the stock Fox Body bumper and mark with dry erase marker.



2. Start by carefully drilling the center mounting hole and adding the first fastener.



3. Use the hand saw or body saw to cut a few triangular notches in the curves on either side of the chin spoiler. These relief cuts will give the Chin Spoiler added flexibility to match the curve of your Fox Body bumper.



4. Once you have the relief cuts in place, mock the spoiler up to the bumper and then measure a rough amount of how much to cut from the end cap of the spoiler. Now you can take this time to make this cut. 



5. Finish drilling and install the remaining mounting hardware on both sides of the vehicle.



6. Take your time here with the overall fitment and curvature of the bumper to ensure the best overall look for your ride.



7. Safely lower your Mustang, check fitment, and adjust as needed.
