Over time, the header panel in your Mustang can eventually crack or break from the weight of the bumper and headlights causing the bumper to sag. LMR has created this solution-based kit to restore header panel fitment to ensure a rock-solid mounting for your New Edge header panel.

- 11mm Box End Wrench

- Begin by opening the hood and disconnecting the battery. You’ll then remove the (2) headlight retainers and carefully bring the headlight forward.

- Disconnect the headlight and side marker bulb connection. Do the same for the other side.

- Remove the (2) fasteners connecting the bumper pillars to the header panel.
![]()
- Loosen and remove the (2) screws connecting the header panel to the core support.
![]()
- Slide one of the lower, side-specific brackets into position and loosely install the previously removed hardware. Once everything is set, begin tightening the bracket until it is completely seated.
![]()
- Gently lift the bumper pillar and slide the upper brackets in place.
![]()
- Slide one of the provided bolts through the washers and feed the bolt through the bumper and bracket.
![]()
- Thread on the nut and use an 11mm box end wrench and 4mm hex socket to tighten the hardware.
![]()
- Use a pair of vice grips to clamp down the two brackets, so they are flat against the header panel. (Use a vacuum hose on the ends to protect it from being scratched.)
![]()
- Drill a quarter-inch hole through the header panel and lower bracket.
![]()
- Vacuum the debris and install the other bolt, washer, and nut. Fully tighten and then remove the vice grips. Repeat the same steps on the opposite side. You can then reinstall the headlights and reconnect the battery cable. After that, you’re all good to go.
