Installation Instructions
1. Open or Remove The Sunroof
The first step in cleaning out your sunroof drain is to open up your sunroof. If you plan on doing this while you replace your weatherstrip, you will need to remove the sunroof.
2. Use Shop Vac To Remove Debris In Sunroof Channel
Next, take this time to use a shop vac to remove any loose debris in the sunroof channel to prevent more items from clogging your drain tubes.
3. Choose Your Cleaning Instrument
When cleaning out your sunroof drain tubes, you will need something thin, long, and flexible to carefully unclog the tubes. Some people use an old speedometer cable, others use weedeater line, and some use an air compressor. When using an air compressor, be very careful as the sudden burst of air can dislodge the tube.
4. Carefully Clean The Drain Tube
Slowly feed the line or cable down the drain tube to dislodge any debris.
5. Pour Water Into Drain Tube To Test
Once you clean out the drain tube, carefully pour water into the drain tube to ensure that they have been cleared. The water should drain quickly out of the bottom of your vehicle.
