  17. The braces we sell are raw steel so you do have the option to prep and paint with a rust preventive paint. In this video we have done so and numbered them to better help you with the install.

  18. Please make sure the orientation of the brace is with the offset facing upwards.

  20. In this video we have provided a letter and number system starting in alphabetical and numerical order starting from the rear of the door. It will be numbered 1-8 and A-C.

  24. Hole 3 on bracket B is accessed through the rectangular opening at the bottom of the door.
  25. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  26. Holes 4 and 5 on bracket B are accessed through the circular opening just behind the door handle assembly. Note: Hole 4 is tricky to get to because of the angle.
  27. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  28. Hole 6 can’t be accessed with the door glass in the car.

  29. Hole 7 on bracket C can only be used if you remove the door handle assembly. This requires you to drill out a pop rivet and slide the assembly toward the side mirror. Now one of the small openings can be used to access hole 7. This step is OPTIONAL.
  30. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  31. Hole 8 on bracket C is accessed through the small rectangular opening where the window motor electrical harness is located.
  32. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  33. Now we can finally prep the braces for install. Starting with a blunt nose screw and screw into holes 3 through 8 on both brackets.
  34. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  35. Now is a good time to clean any dirty brackets and we recommend to leave any old silicone in place to act as a cushion for the glass.

  36. Position the support brace behind bracket C and use 2 screws to secure the brace to the bracket.NOTE: There will be different scenarios per vehicle for example, if your front bracket is separated (or very loose) remove it from the door and attach it to the brace while on the bench.
  37. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  38. Feed the brace and bracket through the large opening.
  39. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  40. Seat the glass into the bracket and make sure the plastic guide is positioned into the metal channel near the speaker opening.
  41. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  42. Align hole 1 and slide a small zip tie through the back and install another zip tie and run it down until it’s loosely tightened. This will help hold the brace all while allowing the brace to have movement while installing the other screws.
  43. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  44. Bring the window up to the circular opening and install a screw into hole 5 and fully tighten. Also, at this point if you can install the screw into hole 4, we recommend doing it now.
  45. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  46. Loosely install a screw into slotted hole 2.
  47. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  48. Bring the window down to the bottom rectangular opening and install and tighten the screw to hole 3.
  49. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  50. Now you can position the window to access bracket A and you can also remove the zip tie from earlier so that you can install the screw into hole 1. Also fully tighten the screw in hole 2.
  51. How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window - How To Fix A Sagging 94-04 Mustang Window

  52. Now the window should be able to go completely up and down!

  53. Also make sure no part of the window will make contact with the A-pillar.

  54. Note: If someone has adjusted the glass before to compensate for this problem, make note of the vertical stop adjustment locations. These are 11 mm bolts and can be moved up or down. Also, in order for the adjustments to be made the window needs to be free of the stops so roll it down a few inches.

  56. Once you triple check everything, you can now reinstall the moisture barrier, speaker, reconnect the power mirror switch, and finally reinstall the door panel.

  57. Also be aware that every install is a little unique so you might have to do some adjustments depending on your situation.

  58. That’s it! We hope you enjoyed our step-by-step install as well as watching our video at the beginning of this article.

Mustang Window Support Brace Kit
Restore the alignment and function of your 1994-2004 Mustang door windows with this window support brace kit! Inside the door on your SN95 or New Edge Mustang, there is an adhesive that holds your window to three support brackets on each side. This adhesive deteriorates which causes the glass to fall out of place from these brackets. Late Model Restoration came up with a way to resolve this issue by mounting a support brace to the support brackets ensuring your window stays in alignment permanently!

To ensure a long-lasting and permanent repair, this kit is manufactured with durable materials built to withstand any and all conditions.
