The door armrest pad on '87 and '93 Mustangs takes a beating, especially on the driver side. But you don't have to live with it, as you can change yours out with relative ease. The hardest part about it is you may have to paint yours to match. Don't worry. We have a video showing you exactly what you need to do to prep and paint your new door armrest pad.

Remove the door panel armrest assembly by removing the four retaining screws and allow it to hang freely. Then remove the four armrest pad attaching screws and discard your old armrest pad. Place the new armrest pad on the assembly and attach it, reusing the factory screws.

When replacing the armrest pad, it's a great idea to go ahead and pick up a new chrome strip if yours is starting to look a little aged.
