How To Install SVE Cobra Style Anti-Moan Braces | 79-04 Mustang - How To Install SVE Cobra Style Anti-Moan Braces | 79-04 Mustang

Remove both rear tires from the vehicle.

Remove the E-brake cable E-clip.

Remove the E-brake cable from the caliper.

Remove both of the caliper attaching bolts.

Set the caliper aside and tie this up out of the way.

Remove the rotor from the car.

Slide the U-bolt over the axle tube from the bottom side.

VERIFY THE LEFT AND RIGHT HAND BRACKETS BEFORE INSTALLATION. THE NOTCH ON THESE WILL FACE DOWN.

Slide the Moan Brace over the U-bolt and loosely tighten each of the retaining nuts.

Reinstall the rotor.

Line up each of the holes on the moan brace to the caliper bracket.

Reinstall the caliper and install both of the retaining bolts. Snug these down but do not fully tighten yet.

Next, snug down the nuts on the U-bolts evenly.

Now you can torque the caliper mounting bolts to 70 lb/ft.

Torque the U-bolts to 25 lb/ft.

Reinstall your E-brake cable and seat the E-clip in place.

Reinstall both wheels and torque to 80-100 lb/ft.

Check over your work and take it for a test drive for proper operation.
