Removing the bumper from your 1999-2004 Mustang is a simple process that can easily be done in about an hour, allowing you to replace the bumper or access any parts behind the bumper. - Jack and jack stands (or a lift if available)

- Pushpin removal tool
Installation Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle
Begin by supporting the front of your car with jack stands or lift the entire vehicle. Ensure safety is a priority during this step.
Step 2: Remove the Grille
If your factory grille is still intact, remove the six pushpins across the top securing it to the header panel. Note that the process may vary depending on your car model.
Step 3: Access the Splash Shield Screws
With the key in the on position, turn the front wheels left or right to access the screws securing the front of the splash shield to the bumper. Remove these screws on both sides of the vehicle.
Step 4: Remove Underneath Attachments
From underneath the car, locate and remove the two push pins securing the front bumper to the core support. Additionally, remove any retaining hardware securing the radiator air deflector to the core support.
Step 5: Disconnect Fog Lights (If Equipped)
If your vehicle is equipped with fog lights, disconnect the electrical connections from each fog light. Also, remove the push pin securing the splash shield to the frame rail for easier access to the nuts.
Step 6: Detach Bumper from Fender
Locate and remove the 2 11mm nuts that attach the front bumper cover to the fender on both sides of the vehicle. Gently remove the studs from the fender.
Step 7: Remove the Bumper
Carefully pull the bumper towards you to detach it from the car. Take your time to ensure no damage is done during this step.
Step 8: Repeat Steps for Reinstallation
If needed, repeat the above steps in reverse order to reinstall the bumper securely onto your Mustang.
