1983-1993 Mustang Convertible Rear Seats Removal & Installation

    Removal/Installation Instructions

    1. Simply fold your front seats forward to gain access to the rear seats.

    2. Disengage the rear seat cushion from the retainers by pushing the cushion rearward and then lifting and removing the seat bottom.

    4. Once you have the seat bottom out of the way you can gain access to the seat back retaining bolts. Remove the bolts on each lower corner of the seat back. Once these are out, you will be able to allow the seat back to drop down to release it from the retaning tabs.

    6. Now you can remove the rear seat back completely from the vehicle.

    7. Take this time to thoroughly clean the area while you have the seats out of your Mustang.

    8. The installation process will a simple reversal of the removal. The lower bolts for the seat back need to be torqued to 60-70 lb/in.
