How To: Remove 1994-2004 Mustang Door Panel

Removing the door panel in a 1994-2004 SN95 or New Edge Mustang is very easy. Whether you’re replacing weatherstripping, a speaker, or electrical switches, this video will cover the needed steps to remove the panel from the car.
What’s up everybody? Landan here with Late Model Restoration. This video will cover my quick how-to on removing the door panel in your 1994 to 2004 Mustang.
Removing the door panel in these cars is very easy guys. Whether you’re replacing weatherstripping, a speaker, or electrical switches, this video will cover the needed steps to remove the panel from the car.
Begin by carefully squeezing the tweeter cover to remove it from the housing.
If your car doesn’t have a tweeter, simply remove the mirror cover.
Next remove the Phillips head screw securing the tweeter housing to the door.
Remove the electrical connection with a small flat head screw.
This car has an aftermarket tweeter that is hardwired so I carefully let the tweeter hang from the wire.
Carefully pull down on the door panel cup and then up to free it from the panel.
These things are commonly broken because no one knows how they attach.
Move with some finesse and you won’t have any issues.
Remove the two Phillips head screws securing the door lock and window electrical connections to the door cup.
Use a small flat head screwdriver to remove the mirror adjustment connection.
Set the door cup aside and then remove any attaching screws.
Depending on if your panel has been off before and someone forgot the screws; they could be located in the following areas.
Remove any attaching screw.
Pull down on the handle cup and then remove it from the door panel.
Remove the push pin from the front of the door panel if it’s still there.
Pry up on the door panel and then remove it from the car.
Reverse these steps to get it reinstalled.
