  • 7/16" deep socket
  • 5/16" socket
  • Fastener removal tool

Installation Instructions

  1. Open the hood, and remove the negative battery cable
  2. We recommend laying a towel, or sheet underneath the bumper
  3. Under the car, remove the 5 plastic fasteners that hold the rear bumper to the vehicle's subframe using a fastener removal tool. 3 of the fasteners will be located under the center of the car, and the remaining 2 will be located underneath either side of the bumper
  4. Under the car, remove the fuel overflow plastic fitting located on the right side of the car by pulling down
  5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws on each side of the car holding the rear bumper to the fender well
  6. Remove the 4 plastic fasteners located on the trunk latch trim cover using the same fastener removal tool
  7. Remove the 2 net hooks located on both sides of the inside of the trunk by unscrewing them by hand
  8. Remove the lining from the inside of the trunk
  9. Unsecure the right, and left sides of the trunk trim panels, so the nuts behind them can be accessible
  10. Using your 7/16" deep socket, and ratchet extension, remove the 7 nuts that hold the rear bumper to the car
  11. Work the bumper up and down starting at the center, and then proceeding to do the same on each side until it's freed from the car
  12. Having someone help is helpful in this next step. Line up the studs on both sides of the bumper with their respective holes, using light upward force to seat the studs. Do this until you've worked your way around the whole bumper
  13. Start hand tightening the nuts onto the 7 studs that hold the bumper to the car. Once all are on the studs, go ahead and tighten down all of the nuts
  14. Re-insert the left, and right side trunk panels
  15. Re-install the rear trunk lining, being sure to screw in the 2 net hooks to secure the trunk lining
  16. Re-install the trunk latch trim cover
  17. Re-install the 5 plastic fasteners to the underside of the car that hold the bumper to the subframe
  18. Be sure to re-install your fuel over flow plastic fitting
  19. Re-install the 2 screws on each side that hold the bumper to the fender well
  20. Reconnect your negative battery cable
