1985-93 Mustang Fox Body A/C Eliminator Bracket Installation Instructions
If you're looking for a quick, and easy way to clean up your engine bay, and rid your Fox Body Mustang of that parasitic loss of engine power, then look no further than the Ford Racing A/C Eliminator Bracket!
*NOTE* Before installation of your Ford Racing Mustang A/C Eliminator Bracket, you will need to have the cooling system evacuated if it has any freon!
Start installation by removing the serpentine belt.
Remove the wiring harness, and the 2 hose fittings that are circled in the picture below
Next, remove the five 13mm bolts that hold the compressor in place. The locations of the bolts are circled in the picture below
Take the front plate and the power steering pump off, 2 of the yellow circled nuts will need to be reused. The yellow circled bolts are 9/16", and the red is 11/16"
Now remove the final bolt holding the bracket in place. This bolt is a 9/16" as well
Now you're going to install the new bracket that bolts to the cylinder head using 3 bolts, and 3 lock washers all included in the kit. These bolts are 9/16" as well
Note the orientation of the new bracket, the "bump" should be on top, and towards the motor. Reuse the 2 nuts that you saved from the previous bracket. Now slide the pump into it's new position, and start threading the 9/16" head bolts through the bracket to secure the pump in place
You've successfully installed your Ford Racing A/C Eliminator Bracket!
