How-To Install a Mustang Rear Lower Glass Molding

A simple, yet key restoration part on any 94-04 Mustang coupe, is the rear lower glass molding. Overtime, this piece can deteriorate, fall off, and give your Mustang an incomplete look. This is the molding that fills the gap between the rear glass and the trunk! Keeping out any debris that could potentially make it’s way inside of the water run channel. This molding installs in just minutes and can be done without any special tools or adhesives.

Required Tools:

  • None!

Installation Instructions:

  1. Pop your trunk to gain access to your rear lower glass molding.
  2. Carefully pull off the old factory piece.
  3. Clean the area.
  4. Align one side of the molding and then start pushing the molding over the edge of the glass.
  5. Work the molding onto the glass until you reach the other end.
  6. Close your trunk, and you’re all done!
