Founded in 1979, Speedmaster originated as a small speed workshop known as Pete's Performance. With a passion for building engines, Pete's attention to quality and performance gained a major local following. Identifying the need for specialized tools and machinery, in the 1980s, Pete's Performance evolved into Speedmaster. The Speedmaster name originates from Pete's desire to push the boundaries of automotive performance, as well as to encapsulate the elements of speed, mastery, and innovation. Through the years, innovation has remained at the peak of Speedmaster's focus, with its Research and Development team in Sydney, Australia, generating multiple patented products and industry accolades. All Speedmaster cylinder heads, third members, transmissions, and engines are assembled in their state-of-the-art facility in LA.
