2005-2008 Mustang 3V Brisk Silver Racing Spark Plug Kit - Non-Projected Tip
Maximize the performance of your 3V modular engine with this Brisk Silver Racing 2005-2008 Mustang 4.6 spark plug kit! This Brisk Silver Racing spark plug kit is designed for owners that are running up to 150 shot of nitrous or boosted engines(up to 12psi) that see extended periods in boost. This plug will hold up to heat for a longer period of time compared to others. The heat range is one step colder compared to stock and features a silver electrode that transfers electricity and heat better than any other plug material! This results in the most powerful spark for combustion efficiency and horsepower gains.
Super Conductor
This plug has a non-projected tip on the end. Non-projected tip plugs are designed to relieve heat retention from the spark plug preventing the plug from melting. Brisk Silver Racing spark plugs feature a silver electrode that is the best conductor of thermal heat and electricity. Silver conducts 560% more electricity and 481% more heat compared to Platinum plugs. This design is beneficial when your stock ignition system is pushed to the limit and eliminates the need to upgrade. This plug requires lower supplied ignition voltage which is beneficial to supercharge or turbocharged engines. Silver has been found to be the best conductor to ignite fuels such as premium gasoline, E85, Alcohol, Propane, and others.
Projected Tip vs. Non-Projected Tip Spark Plugs
Spark plug projection is simply the distance from the end of the metal shell to the center electrode's tip. Projected-tip spark plugs are great for fairly mild/street/low boost setups. Typically around 6-10psi or 300-600 horsepower. When it comes to high boost, high amounts of timing, or race fuel, a non-projected spark plug may be the answer. The high heat created by the combustion process in high horsepower engines can cause the ground strap to melt off of the spark plug, resulting in misfires or pre-ignition. On non-projected tip spark plugs, the grounding strap is closer to the threaded body. This allows heat on the grounding strap to be dissipated to the spark plug threads and cylinder head, preventing the strap from melting off. Always be sure to consult your tuner if you are unsure of the best spark plug type for your application.
