Canton oil pans with screw-in dipstick provisions that are used with engine blocks equipped with an in-block dipstick provision must use a 3/8" expansion plug to plug the in-block dipstick provision.
T-sump style pans that will not work with clutch fork bellhousing or transmission designs with a 7 o'clock fork position.

1979-1995 Mustang 5.0L T-Sump Road Race Oil Pan
This Canton "T" style rear sump Mustang oil pan is for 1979-1995 Mustangs with 5.0L based engines. It has a 7-1/2" deep by 8" long by 13-1/2" wide sump and 7-quart system capacity. It retains the Stock pan depth and increases capacity with it's "T" style rear sump. This Mustang oil pan is track-proven diamond shape road race baffle assembly with four trap doors and runners to direct oil to the pickup under all conditions. Other features include a temperature fitting bung, magnetic drain plug, crank scraper, and a provision for pan mounted dipstick.
