Whether you're rebuilding a 4.6 or 5.4 Modular engine, installing performance camshafts, or chasing every last horsepower, adjustable cam gears allow you to precisely optimize valve timing for your specific combination. Unlike the factory non-adjustable camshaft sprockets, these Comp Cams adjustable sprockets provide up to +/-6 degrees of adjustment (12 degrees total) on each bank, allowing you to accurately advance or retard cam timing for improved power and performance. Constructed from bulletproof SAE 4340 steel, each sprocket features plasma-nitrided, gear-hardened teeth for exceptional strength, wear resistance, and long-term durability in demanding applications. An Allen wrench adjustment system provides secure, robust clamping to prevent unwanted movement once timing is set, giving you confidence that your cam timing will stay exactly where you put it. Each sprocket is also cam sensor trigger-tested to over 10,000 RPM and is fully compatible with both OEM and aftermarket engine management systems, making this Comp Cams gear set an excellent upgrade for street, strip, or race-built Modular engines.
