1985-1995 Mustang 5.0 Comp Cams XFI Camshaft - 236/248
This Comp Cams Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller cam is a great way to add horsepower to your stroker powered 85-95 Mustang. Fox Body cams not only add performance, they also give your Mustang an aggressive lope exhaust tone. This Comp Cams roller camshaft offers good idle quality and excellent mid to high range power for your 347ci stroker or larger engine. While it adds a noticeable power improvement, it still maintains drivability characteristics for driving on the streets. Works well with manual transmission, automatic transmission, and mass air fuel injection.

Notes
  • 347ci. or larger applications
  • Best for use with 9.5:1+ compression
  • On EFI engines, performance camshafts work only with mass air induction systems. Will not work with Explorer EEC-V EFI.
  • Use with aftermarket heads, intake, throttle body, and injectors. 3000+ stall or 5 speed required.
  • A computer tune or chip is required.

    Fitment Notice
    • 1985 Mustang 5.0/5.8 w/ factory hydraulic roller cam block w/ 347ci or larger.
    • 1986 Mustang 5.0/5.8 w/ factory hydraulic roller cam block w/ 347ci or larger. May require the stock 5.0 flat-top pistons to be fly-cut for valve reliefs or replace the pistons with ones with valve reliefs. 
    • 1987-95 Mustang 5.0/5.8 w/ factory hydraulic roller cam block w/ 347ci or larger.
    • This camshaft will use a 7/16-20 camshaft bolt. The factory Ford bolt will not be compatible with this camshaft.
