In high-heat and performance engine environments, starters take in a lot of damaging heat that can destroy the windings of the starter and solenoid. To combat this problem, this non-conductive strap-on heat shield has a highly-reflective Mylar surface which can drastically reduce underhood temperatures that affect the starter. This starter heat wrap will reflect over 90% of radiant heat, adding life to the starter and assuring reliable starts. This starter heat wrap is a universal kit that fits all starters.
