Fel-Pro Valve Stem Seals - 4.6 4V

Stop excessive oil consumption from worn out or degraded valve stem seals in your 1999-2004 Mustang 4.6 4V with these Fel-Pro valve stem seals. Valve stem seals allow a controlled amount of oil to lubricate the valve stem as it moves in the valve guide. With repeated exposure to heat and oil, the valve stem seals can fail. They become hard or worn and can no longer properly control the amount of oil going down the valve guide. Fel-Pro seals are made to the exact dimensions of premium high-temperature rubber construction for your 4V engine. The proper tension rings hold them in place, also allowing them to seal properly. To protect the inner lip of the seal from damage by the lock grooves in the valve stem, a thin plastic sleeve installation tool is included. It is placed over the tip of the valve stem during installation to allow the seal to slide over easily.
