Ensure the interior of your convertible Mustang remains dry and wind noise-free with this 1994-2004 Mustang convertible weatherstrip kit from Daniel Carpenter Reproductions! Due to age, heat, and sun exposure, the weatherstripping that seals the area surrounding the convertible top may tear, dry rot, or deteriorate completely. This allows rain, wind, and other exterior elements to enter the interior of your Mustang. The weatherstripping included in this kit consists of the 2001-2004 design which will fit all 1994-2004 convertible Mustangs with the proper adjustments made to the door and window glass. Featuring a rubber construction, this aftermarket reproduction kit replaces the weatherstripping found on the front, middle, and rear side rails of the convertible top, as well as the header piece that runs along the top of the windshield and down the windshield frame. While this kit is a budget-friendly reproduction, the materials utilized are slightly different than the factory pieces and will require further adjustments for correct fitment on your SN95 or New Edge Mustang.
This weatherstrip is located on the front, middle, top of the windshield, and rear of the convertible top and attaches to the side rails on the driver and passenger side.
For proper fitment, door hinges must be inspected for excessive play. The door hinges should not have any play up or down.
If there is excessive play and it is left unaddressed, leaking may occur. Our door hinge repair kit can be utilized to resolve any excessive play in the door hinges as well as replacement door hinges LRS-22801A & LRS-22800A.
Excessive window play will also cause improper fitment and may result in a leaking weatherstrip. A window support bracket kit can be utilized to correct a sagging window.
To achieve the desired fitment, adjustments to the windows and doors may be necessary.
This aftermarket header weatherstrip will require weatherstrip adhesive or double-sided tape to make the weatherstrip sit flush with the body of the car.
