Horn Button Repair Pad
Don't you hate it when your horn just randomly honks? Or for some reason the horn honks ALL the time now? What typically causes this is a deteriorated foam pad that goes between the horn contact plates in the horn pad on the steering wheel. Luckily, you can get your horn back in proper working order with this 5.0 Resto replacement foam pad. Brief instructions are included for a fairly easy install. The replacement pad is made from a more durable material that OE so that your horn will have many years of reliable operation.

Worked great! Low cost too. Watched the video before ordering and again after receiving part - very helpful. Glad I found the video as I had no idea why my horn suddenly started blowing at 4AM one morning. I had to unhook the battery to get it to stop. Shipping was quick too. The scrubbing pad is also included.

easy fix

This is the second time I've repaired my horn pad. The first time I fabricated the pad myself. It didn't last much longer than 3 years. This pad feels like it will last much longer and it makes my horn less sensitive due to the firmer pad. With my fabrication it was too sensitive.

Excellent FIX!!!

When i got my 88 Mustang gt Convertible the horn fuse was pulled. i put a fuse in and the horn started honking on its own and wouldn't stop. i pulled the fuse and pulled the steering/horn cover off and the padding in between the copper plates was wore out. i ordered this repair kit and installed it. NOW it WORKS PERFECTLY!! Easy to install too!

I bought the horn button repair pad kit and repaired my 1989 GT in less than 15 minutes. The hardest part of the repair was scrapping off the old deteriorated pad. Once that was done the new pad fit perfect and now functions like new.

The repair pad corrected the random horn honking in the driveway. Now I can use my cruise control again after reinstalling the horn fuse/cruise control fuse.

HORN BUTTON

I recently had an issue with the horn going off on its own whenever it chose to do. After beating on the horns and relay, I had to disconnect the battery to keep the neighbors happy. This repair pad is the definite fix for this annoying issue. Will use again and fully recommend this cheap fix to a loud issue. Good products with great prices, thanks Latemodelrestoration.com!
