Mustang Rear Of Fender Molding
Restore the look of your Fox Body with this driver side 1985-1986 Mustang rear of fender molding from Daniel Carpenter Reproductions! This molding usually shrank due to exposure to the elements or became wrinkled and was unable to be straightened back out due to the metal banding that was inside from the factory. DCR offers this replacement driver side rear of fender molding that replaces your factory molding to properly restore the look of your Mustang back to showroom new.
Quality Construction
This rear of fender molding is built with molded urethane that provides added strength so metal bands are no longer needed. The new molding has the specific recessed C-channel for the accent stripe running from the front of the molding to the rear. The front of the molding has a curved edge that matches the shape of the fender wheel opening, while the rear of the molding has a slight curve to match up with the front of the door molding after installation. 3M double-sided tape is pre-installed on the back of the molding to secure the molding in place after prep and paint.
Molding Notes
- Due to the manufacturing process, scuff marks may be apparent. These marks must be sanded and prepped before painting and installation.
- These fender moldings have the OE molding line towards the front of the molding. This is correct for the 1985 rear of fender moldings.
Application Fits 1985-1986 Mustang LX & GT
Disclaimer
Test fitment and paint preparation of this part are mandatory BEFORE painting. Neither LMR nor the product manufacturer is responsible for fitment or finish issues after the paint has been applied. Professional preparation, installation, and painting are highly recommended.
On urethane and fiberglass body parts, due to the manufacturing process, it is common to see irregular surface patterns, sanding, buffing, and mold release marks on products. These marks are normal and will not be present once the product has been sanded, prepped, and painted to match your vehicle.
