Over time, the hood hinges can wear out or get damaged, causing the hood not to open or close properly. Located at the firewall, these hood hinges are what your hood bolts to, allowing you to lift and raise your hood without it separating from your S550. Ford uses heavy-duty stamped steel to factory dimensions and tolerances, with all the correct mounting locations. Large mounting holes are present on the firewall mounting plate and the hinge arm to allow adjustment. The hinge features protective finishes that are easily painted to match your Mustang for a factory-like appearance.
