- (1) Air Conditioner Accumulator
This is the air conditioning accumulator for your 1996-2004 Mustang V6, GT or Cobra. It is a holding tank that is located between the high pressure and low-pressure side of an air conditioning system. The purpose of the accumulator is to store and release any excess build-up of the refrigerant. They also contain a moisture absorbing filter to remove moisture from the refrigerant as it waits in the accumulator before it flows through the system again.
