This kit was designed to tighten up the movement of your vent registers so when you move it to the desired position it stays! This kit includes 4 adhesive-backed felt swabs that go on either end of the a/c vent and create friction with the register surround. This will allow you to position your vent where you want it and it will stay there and not move unnecessarily. It also includes 4 adhesive-backed foam strips that go around the outside perimeter of the a/c vent and creates a seal where the register slides into the ducting behind the dash.
