Mustang LX Front of Quarter Panel Molding
Restore the look of your Fox Body with this driver side 1985-1986 Mustang LX front of quarter panel molding from Daniel Carpenter Reproductions! This molding usually shrank due to exposure to the elements or became wrinkled and was unable to be straightened back out due to the metal banding that was inside from the factory. DCR offers this driver side front of quarter panel molding that replaces your factory molding to properly restore the look of your LX back to showroom new.
Quality Construction
This front of quarter panel molding is built with molded urethane that provides added strength so metal bands are no longer needed. The new molding has the LX specific recessed C-channel for the accent stripe running from the front of the molding to the rear. The front of the molding has a straight edge to match up with the rear of the door molding, while the rear of the molding has a curved edge that matches the shape of the quarter panel wheel opening. 3M double-sided tape is pre-installed on the back of the molding to secure the molding in place after prep and paint.
Molding Note
Due to the manufacturing process, scuff marks may be apparent. These marks must be sanded and prepped before painting and installation.
