Ford 8.8" Rear Axle Housing Vent Hose KitReplace a defective axle housing vent with this 1986-2014 Mustang rear axle housing vent hose kit for an OE-style fit and finish. The majority of the factory axle housing vents are located directly on the axle tube, where it can be easily push fluid past after some hot laps or hard driving from getting hot. Adding this Ford original vent hose kit relocates the vent to above the rear differential, allowing room for fluid expansion. An added benefit is it keeps water from getting in the vent as easily if you happen to have to drive through a deep puddle. Supplied in the kit is a new axle vent fitting that is threaded directly into where the OEM metal vent was located. From there, the hose attaches and routes up above the center differential, where is attached the other end with the supplied clip. Then, the vent cap plugs into the end of the hose in its new location.
