Remove excess play on your automatic shifter with this Ford Original shifter linkage bushing for your 1983-2004 Mustang. This is the small, round plastic bushing that pushes into the linkage on the side of the transmission and holds the cable in place. Over the years of use, the 1983-2004 Mustang shifter cable bushing can wear out and break, causing the cable to come loose, and ultimately, your transmission will not function properly. These new Ford Original bushing is cheap insurance that your cable stays in place and continues to function properly.
