Whether you're taking on a project car with a missing console or need to replace your original that's cracked in several places, this 1987-1993 Mustang Fox Body console is the perfect interior restoration item. Your center console is the main hub for a number of different components including the radio, shifter, ashtray, armrest assembly, and more. Decades of console removal and reinstallation of these components typically result in broken mounting points, scuffs, scrapes, and damage. 5.0 Resto identified the need for a replacement Fox Body console and is proud to offer this new assembly to restore your interior! 

Center Console Overview
Starting at the front of the console where it meets the dash, the radio surround is made in the factory dimensions and tolerances to accept an original radio, as well as the aftermarket single DIN install panels. A front console/radio mounting bracket is included to replace rusted/missing originals. New mounting points for the four screws that secure the console to the dash are in place, as well as a pre-cut hole for the trunk release button. For the shifter location, 5.0 Resto enlarged this opening to make it easier to access all shifter bolts without removing the console. Should you need to remove the console, this enlarged opening makes it possible without removing your shifter! Improved mounting hardware is included to better secure your shifter bezel and console top panel. 5.0 Resto's console will accept Ford original and aftermarket ashtray style top panels, as well as cup holder console panels. Finally, at the rear of the console, mounting points are in place to accept factory armrest assemblies, as well as armrest deletes. On the underside, the locating tab is in place to line up the console with the rear mounting bracket.
