The MT82 was revised in 2018 with different gear ratios and the introduction of the twin disc clutch with a dual mass flywheel, allowing them to handle more power. Factory flywheels can get hot spots and warp over time, causing poor clutch engagement. Made from a factory nodular cast iron construction that is both durable and has a long-lasting service life. Utilizing machined surfaces on all of the matting areas for a flush, even attachment of the clutch and to the engine. The new Ford flywheel features the correct starter ring gear, 8-bolt mounting pattern and is designed to be used with factory twin disk clutches. All of the threaded mounting holes and dowel pins match exactly with the original unit your S550 came with. Make sure you pick up this Ford original dual mass flywheel for your next clutch install to save time and money on machining your factory flywheel.
