1979-1995 Mustang 5.0/5.8 Ford Front Main Seal
Prevent oil contamination by sealing the front of the crankshaft in your 1979-1995 Mustang with this Ford Original front main seal! Located in the timing cover, the front main seal ensures that oil remains in the engine by sealing up the crankshaft while it rotates. After years of your engine running, the crankshaft can eventually wear a groove into the front main seal causing the oil to leak. Featuring a 1 piece design, replace the leaking seal by utilizing the molded rubber with a steel reinforcment construction and correct OE dimensions of this new seal. If you plan on taking the timing cover off, it is good to replace your front main seal as preventive maintenance. Ensure your 5.0 or 5.8 Mustang engine stays properly lubricated without having any leaks!
