1979-1995 Mustang 5.0/5.8 Ford Performance Bellhousing Spacer Plate - Manual
Also referred to as a block plate, this 1979-1995 Mustang bellhousing spacer plate fits between the block and the bellhousing . If it is not used it will throw off starter alignment and cause a noisy starter. Also the Starter hole has a tendency to wear over the years and that as well will cause starter alignment issues, so if you are using a block plate and you still have the starter grind then this may well be the cause. This replacement spacer plate is for 79-95 manual transmission applications.

Note
These are bare metal and will have light surface oxidation out of the box and will develop a surface rust after installation. They can be cleaned and painted if you so desire.
