5.0 Resto Adjustable Clutch Cable Kit
Replace your old and weak 1982-2004 Mustang clutch cable with this adjustable 5.0 Resto Clutch Cable Kit! The factory cable has no way of adjustment, leaving much to be desired, and could lead to clutch failure if too far outside of the factory quadrant adjustability. Our extreme-duty adjustable Mustang clutch cable kit allows for exact adjustment of clutch pedal position at the threaded adjustable clutch fork end, as well as at the firewall. Whether driving on the highway or the track, this Mustang clutch cable kit has your bases covered. This complete Mustang clutch cable kit is a great upgrade for your 1982-95 5.0L or 1994-04 Mustang 3.8L V6. Featured in this kit are a heavy-duty cable, a billet aluminum double hook quadrant, a billet firewall adjuster, and a clutch cable bracket to frame bolt.

Quality Construction
5.0 Resto's heavy-duty clutch cable uses a Teflon-lined cable, durable metal fittings, and an adjustable cable end to remove any cable slack.The SVE aluminum quadrant is constructed with CNC machined billet aluminum that is stronger than the factory plastic piece and withstands the added stress of performance applications! Featuring a double hook design, SVE's quadrant provides added adjustability to your clutch cable setup. SVE's firewall adjuster eliminates the rubber bushing on your factory cable while adding an easier way to adjust your clutch cable without crawling underneath your Mustang. Using a billet aluminum adjuster featuring a quick-click design that allows quarter-turn adjustments and doesn't require an annoying jam nut.

Installation Notes

The LRS-7553H is shipped with a reducer sleeve installed in the adjuster. Not all clutch cables require this reducer. The package includes a small Allen wrench. On the knurled part of the adjuster's face (the part you would grab to turn it), there is a small threaded hole that has a set screw in it that is tightened down & holding the reducer sleeve in place. Use the Allen wrench to remove the set screw, then remove the reducer. Now, the cable will fit into place.

If you are using a firewall-mounted Cable Adjuster, attach the cable to the hook closest to the firewall. If you are using an Adjustable Cable without a firewall Adjuster, attach the cable to the hook farthest away from the firewall.
If you have Longtube Headers installed on your Mustang, this cable will need to be protected from the heat to prevent premature failure of your cable.
