Ford Mustang - 1979, 1980, 1981

This gas tank is made for 1979-1981 Fox Body Mustangs without electronic fuel injection(EFI).
Due to the design variances in aftermarket fuel tanks and straps, we recommend our Fuel Tank Strap Stud Kit to ease installation.
This tank is NOT a direct replacement and will require modification and/or longer strap studs due to this tank being slightly larger than the factory tank.
Upon inspection of the fuel tank, you will notice there are bends in the pinch welds. This is done during production by the manufacturer so you have the proper clearance for the tank straps and fuel tank cover.
