Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump - JR3Z-9350-CReplace the defective direct injection high pressure fuel pump in your 2018-2023 Mustang GT, Mach 1, or Bullitt with this direct replacement pump from Ford! The high pressure fuel pump located on the passenger side of the engine in your Mustang provides fueling to the 8 direct injectors located under your intake manifold. These injectors aid in correcting the idle, provide smooth acceleration, and allow for increased fuel economy in your V8 Mustang. A few symptoms of your high pressure fuel pump going bad are loss of horsepower, rough idling, hesitation during acceleration, and difficulty starting the engine. If the PCM is able to read the defective pump, you will have a Check Engine Light(CEL) visible on your dash. Constructed from durable aluminum, this pump resists corrosion and is built to last!
Installation Notes
- Before installation, you MUST depressurize your Coyote fuel system.
- To depressurize the fuel system, locate and disconnect the fuel pump driver module on the LH side, beneath the rear seat cushion.
- Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine stalls. Turn off the ignition switch.
- After service is complete, reconnect the FPDM connector and reinstall the seat cushion.
- Cycle the ignition and wait for 3 seconds. Check for leaks before starting the engine.
