When replacing the exhaust manifolds on your 2005-2010 S197 Mustang 4.6L 3V, it is always best to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets with factory multilayer steel gaskets(MLS). MLS gaskets are designed to seal in high heat situations, allow for slight imperfections in the mating surfaces, and seal better the first time. The factory gaskets are designed with retainers built into the gaskets to hold them on the exhaust manifold studs while installing your new headers or replacing your factory exhaust manifold making installation easier.
