Direct Replacement
This 2001-2004 Mustang speed sensor is a direct replacement for your OEM automatic speed sensor. It features the same factory connections for a quick and easy installation. This sensor is perfect for replacing malfunctioning, damaged, or broken sensors. Simply bolt it in and plug it up to the existing wiring.
What Is A Speed Sensor
A VSS, Vehicle Speed Sensor, measures the transmission output speed and relays the information back to the computer to adjust air to fuel ratios, transmission shift points, and ignition timing. These are mounted on the transmission and can malfunction over time. When these start to go out, it can turn your check engine light on and cause drivability problems.
