SVE Torque Box Reinforcement Kit
Ensure the unibody chassis in your 1979-2004 Mustang is rock solid with the help of Special Vehicle Equipment's® torque box reinforcement kit! After thorough research and development, SVE has created a problem-solving, solution-based product by putting together a kit that cures that age old issue of ripped, cracked, or separating torque boxes. The lower torque boxes are located at the rear of the pinch welds and in front of the rear lower control arms, while the upper torque boxes are located directly above the mounting location of the upper control arms to the chassis. After numerous high RPM launches on sticky tires or abuse on the street, these torque boxes in your Mustang begin to fatigue. This can be very harmful to your driveline, performance, and overall ride quality of your Mustang. Prevent further control arm deflection and twisting while increasing chassis rigidity to improve your Mustang's traction with SVE's premium torque box reinforcement kit!

To correct these common issues, Special Vehicle Equipment® utilizes durable 12 gauge high strength steel for the reinforcement plates paired with heavy duty 8.8 grade hardware to properly bolt them in for increased reinforcement. Featuring a bare metal finish, SVE's brackets and plates are machined with precise cuts and welds to ensure a perfect fit and finish! SVE is proud to offer this reinforcement kit with premium components to keep your Mustang's chassis in top notch shape!

Installation Note

While not required, in order to maximize the strength of this kit it is HIGHLY recommended that the reinforcement plates are stitch welded into place.
Make sure to grind the area clean before performing any welding!
If this kit is only being bolted in, paint the components with a rust preventative paint before assembly.

Fitment Note

The upper reinforcements will not work with factory convertible chassis braces.
Depending on your application, the openings of the bolt holes may need to be enlarged to fit the included hardware.
