Cobra T56 26 Spline Input Shaft Swap
Increase strength in your 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra T56 with this 26 spline input shaft swap! Your factory 10 spline input shaft is the weak link in your transmission when you add more horsepower. By increasing the spline count, your transmission can handle and support increased horsepower and torque over the factory input shaft. Featuring a heavy duty steel construction, this input shaft is much stronger than your original. This kit includes a new pocket bearing with race, as well as the input shaft bearing with race. The input shaft is 26 spline with a 31 tooth gear to match up to your factory internal T56 gears.

Fitment Note
Will NOT fit Magnum T56 or GM T56.

3 Stars   If you can find a Tremec input shaft, spend the extra money.

I recently got this part installed. The first thing I noticed is there much more noise from the transmission. It would appear that the part is made from a much cheaper steel than Tremec input shafts. The build quality seems much lower than Tremec. Im not trying to badmouth LMR, but it feels like I'm waiting for this part to break. I should have paid the extra money and been more patient and gotten a genuine Tremec piece. I will say that the part fits and functions, but at the power level I'm at, I don't think it will last long. Car made 884 rwhp and 748 rwtq.
