Ford 8.8" Pinion Seal

Prevent oil contamination by sealing the front of the 8.8" differential in your 1993-1995 SVT Lightning with this Ford Original pinion seal! Located in the front of the 8.8" rear differential just behind the pinion flange, the pinion seal ensures that oil remains in the differential by sealing up the pinion gear while it rotates. After years of driving, the pinion can eventually wear a groove into the seal, causing the oil to leak. Featuring a 1 piece design, replace the leaking seal by utilizing the molded rubber with a steel reinforcement construction and correct OE dimensions of this new seal. If you plan on taking the gears out of your diff, it is good to replace your seal as preventive maintenance. Ensure your Lightning's 8.8" rear differential stays properly lubricated without having any leaks!
