Specifically Designed To Release Factory Locks On Ford Radios
What's in the Box
(2) U-Shaped Release Tools
Have you ever looked at a Factory Ford radio and wondered how to take it out? Here's the answer. This is a Specialty tool used to remove factory Ford stereo equipment. It has specially designed tabs to slide in beside the radio and release the 4 locking tabs that hold it in place. With all 4 tabs released, the head unit slides right out. It's as easy as that.
So I have a 2000 Mustang base model that had original equipment. I wanted to replace the stereo. The tool worked perfectly and removing the stereo was a breeze. Warning however if your stereo is the original like mine was which was 15 years old, the plastic become brittle and may break. The tool had nothing to do with it. This was not an issue since I was replacing the stereo and removing the CD player as well.
Yes, I would recommend this item to a friend!
