Lightning Rear Axle Girdle/Differential Cover
This lightweight aluminum rear differential girdle from Ford Performance adds style and performance to your SVT Lightning's undercarriage! The satin aluminum finish looks great on any car, not to mention added life for your ring and pinion gears! The Ford Performance logo is also etched into the CNC machined back plane.
- Low Profile design to fit 1993-1995 Lightning - requires no suspension modifications!
- Lightweight 356T6 aluminum casting replaces rear cover on 8.8"
- Load bolts provide additional support for differential bearing caps
- Increase ring and pinion gear life
This kit is for use on 8.8" axle housings. The components in this kit will increase the stiffness and durability of the housing assembly. After the installation of the axle girdle clearance should be checked between the axle girdle and the chassis sheet metal.
Installation
The installation of this kit can be performed by anyone with an average amount of mechanical experience, but it is very important to follow the instructions. If you do not feel comfortable after reading the instructions, have the installation performed by an experience mechanic.
