8.8" GT500 Finned Aluminum Differential Cover
Upgrade your factory-stamped steel cover to this upgraded GT500 finned aluminum cover for the 1986-2014 Mustang w/ solid 8.8 rear axles. This Mustang 8.8" Rear Differential Cover is original equipment on the 2013-2014 Mustang GT500. Designed to fit all 1986-2014 8.8" Mustang solid axle rear ends. We include the needed cover vent & 10 attaching bolts (torque to 24 lb-ft). This Mustang rear end cover is cast from aluminum & features cast-in cooling ribs to help reduce gear oil temperature & extend gear set & bearing life. Because of its ribbed aluminum construction, there is a marginal increase in rear-end housing rigidity. The fluid capacity remains unchanged. This cover also features two drilled & tapped cooler ports that have the needed 1/2-14 NPSF block-off plugs installed. These ports are perfect for use as fill & drain ports! There is also a sealed machined port for a temperature sensor with M10 X 1.6-6h threads.
