Ford Performance 5.0L Coyote Boss 302 Timing Chain Tensioners
If you are running higher than stock RPM because of cam changes, Boss 302 intake, or Cobra Jet manifold, Boss 302 tensioners are great insurance. The Boss 302 from the factory had the ability to run 7500+ RPM. Ford created special primary timing chain tensioners to cope with its high RPM ability. The Boss 302 tensioners are designed for improved durability in high rpm applications like road and drag racing Mustangs. These same tensioners found their way into all Boss 302 engines and 2013 Cobra jet engines!

2012-2013 Boss 302
The secondary tensioners in this kit have superseded the original tensioners and are shorter by design. These will install into your factory cam caps with no issues. The retaining clip for the bottom of the tensioner will no longer be required.
