5.0L Coyote Mustang Forged Crankshaft
Ford Performance has always been the trusted name of performance parts for your Ford Mustang. As time has moved on, Ford Performance has improved this forged crankshaft since it was originally featured in the 2012-2013 BOSS 302. This forged 4130 steel crankshaft is featured as original equipment on the 2018-2026 Mustang 5.0 and is balanced to be compatible with the factory Gen 3 & 4 5.0L Coyote Mustang connecting rod and piston assembly. If any other rod/piston assembly is used, further balancing is REQUIRED. The Ford Performance Coyote crankshaft utilizes 2.087 in. rod journal diameters, 2.658 in. main journal diameters, and a 92.7mm stroke, as also found in the previous 1 & 2 generation Coyotes (11-17). This Ford Performance forged crankshaft can be used to build earlier Coyote engines prior to 2018, but will require re-balancing when using factory or aftermarket rotating assemblies.
