1983-1993 Mustang Steel Bearing Retainer Upgrade
The input bearing retainer on T5 equipped Mustangs also doubles as a clutch release bearing (Throw-Out Bearing) sleeve. From the factory, these bearing retainers were made of an aluminum base & sleeve & often developed wear grooves on the sleeve causing the release bearing to bind & create all manor of clutch engagement & disengagement issues.

Fits 1983-1993 Mustang 5.0L w/ T5 Transmission
Fits 1984-1986 Mustang SVO w/ T5 Transmission

Product Note
Due to the nature of the casting on the base of the bearing retainer, flash lines/flow lines resembling cracks may be visible on the bearing retainer. These are a normal byproduct of aluminum casting and are not cracks in the aluminum housing.

Due to the size of the input shaft bearing on the 4cyl T5's, this steel bearing retainer will not work on 4cy T5 transmissions.
